Acupuncture
A powerful healing modality that originated in China over 6000 years ago, acupuncture is used throughout the world. It is based on the concept of balance and harmony between both the physical and the emotional aspects of a human being. The art of acupuncture involves the stimulation of specific points located along channels that traverse the entire body. These are gateways through which the practitioner exerts influence upon organs and functions, stimulating and activating the body's self-healing mechanism. Our acupuncturists are extensively trained and board certified.
Herbal Medicine
The origins of herbal medicine stretch back thousands of years to the beginning of civilization. At Hudson Healing Arts, our acupuncturists are are extensively trained and board certified in Chinese Herbal Medicine and Western Herbology.
Reiki
Reiki is an ancient form of energy medicine that brings the life-force energy, known as Chi, Ki, or Prana, into connection with the body's innate healing powers. Rediscovered in the mid-1800s by Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanese monk educator, the origins of Reiki are found in the Tibetan Sutra, the ancient records of philosophy and cosmology. In Dr. Usui's words, "Reiki is the art of inviting happiness." It is a powerful adjunct to many conventional therapeutic modalities and helps to restore balance on the emotional, mental, and physical levels by enhancing and accelerating the healing processes of the mind and body.
Bach Flower Remedies
The Bach Flower Remedies are a system of natural healing developed by the noted physician, Dr. Edward Bach, in the 1930s. Composed of 38 plant and flower based formulas plus the well-known stress relief blend Rescue Remedy, they can help manage the emotional demands of everyday life by bringing negative feelings and attitudes back into balance and perspective. Safe for all ages, the Bach Flower Remedies can be used alone but also are a wonderful complement to other healing modalities. The system is suitable for adults and children as well as for animals.

Hypnosis Counseling

Guided Imagery
Guided Imagery is similar to meditative states and is a form of deliberate, directed daydreaming. It is a specific and purposeful use of the imagination, making use of specific words in order to evoke a multi-sensory experience of both fantasy and memory. This rich, multi-layered awareness assists in creating a deeply receptive mind state. Each session is tailored to the client's specific needs and is deeply relaxing.

The Feldenkrais Method of Somatic Education utilizes gentle movement and directed attention to improve function and breathing, facilitate ease of movement, and decrease pain and tension. It can help you learn to increase your ease and range of motion, improve your flexibility and coordination, and rediscover the freedom and pleasure of movement most often associated with childhood.
This method was developed by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, D.Sc. (1904-1984) a pioneer in the field of neuroplasticity - the ability of the brain to adapt and change. His research into the relationships of the brain, nervous system, and movement led to his revolutionary approach to learning.
We offer one-on-one Functional Integration lessons, tailored to your individual needs. The practitioner uses gentle touch and verbal cues to help you learn ways to move more easily, guiding you through slow, mindful movement sequences designed to give the brain an opportunity to improve movement, promote relaxation, and enhance a sense of wellbeing.

Sound Bath Healing
A Sound Bath is a deeply relaxing, meditative experience which can take you on a journey of deep relaxation, healing and self-discovery. Vibrations and sounds produced by singing bowls, gongs and chimes can “tune” your body, mind and spirit back into alignment.
During a session, you typically lie down on a comfortable mat in a quiet, dimly lit space to fully immerse yourself in the sounds. Sound Bath Healing can help with stress relief, anxiety reduction, improved sleep, enhanced focus, emotional release, and overall well-being.

Mindfulness Coaching
People come to 1-on-1 meditation coaching for different reasons. Some people want to learn the basics of meditation from a mindfulness coach. Some want to go deeper in their meditation practice. Others want to work on coping with a specific issue, like anxiety, depression, or chronic pain. Our meditation teacher uses Body Scans as a way to bring awareness to the present moment.
Working together, the client/student and instructor will develop a strategy for your ongoing mindfulness practice and achieving your goals. Work is conducted both online and in person – usually meeting once a week for a 50 minute session.
Mindfulness is proven to help with stress management, anger management, distraction and concentration problems, helping to support work – life balance. After a session, the student will have home practices at least 6 days a week until the next meeting. In order to benefit from 1-1 sessions, dedicating at least 20 minutes a day is required.
