Acupuncture
A powerful healing modality that originated in China over 6000 years ago, acupuncture is used throughout the world. It is based on the concept of balance and harmony between both the physical and the emotional aspects of a human being. The art of acupuncture involves the stimulation of specific points located along channels that traverse the entire body. These are gateways through which the practitioner exerts influence upon organs and functions, stimulating and activating the body's self-healing mechanism. Our acupuncturists are extensively trained and board certified.
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is an effective treatment to reduce the signs of aging without surgery or pharmaceuticals. It is based on the principles of Chinese Medicine, which involves the insertion of very thin disposable needles into the acupuncture points on the face to stimulate collagen production, and helps the face improve blood flow to make a more “dewy” and plumped complexion.
Why choose Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture over injections or surgery?
Facial Acupuncture enables your skin to heal itself from the inside out! You are not putting anything external into your skin or system. It is non-invasive unlike surgery. Also, Traditional Chinese Medicine assesses the whole individual for a truly holistic experience, which improves overall well-being.
How does Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture enable the skin to heal?
This superficial insertion boosts circulation to the face and stimulates collagen production, which will fill out the lines and give firmness to the skin for a healthy, glowing complexion. The needles create a microtrauma that forces the skin to heal itself; similar to when one gets a cut and eventually it heals. Also, the patients get their own unique diagnosis; therefore being treated for what is going on internally. What’s going on inside is reflected in one’s skin and complexion!

Microneedling
Microneedling creates controlled yet gentle micro traumas to the areas being treated. This enables a high production of collagen and elastin, which is essential for youthful, glowing, healthy skin. A high-quality hyaluronic acid gel is used; the opening of the pores and microtraumas allow the product to penetrate 3x better than without the needling. With a consistent regimen, microneedling can prevent aging while treating skin conditions including acne scars, fine lines, wrinkles, pore size, stretch marks, scars and more. Microneedling can be done on the face and/or body. It is superior to laser therapy, which can burn or damage the skin. Microneedling is extremely efficient yet able to thoroughly cover every bit of skin it goes over. It is truly an in and out procedure.
What is the difference between Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture and microneedling?
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture is constitutional; assessing what is going on holistically and internally. Getting facial acupuncture will improve one’s sleep, metabolism and overall wellness. Distal points away from the face will also be needled to address any underlying imbalances. Microneedling just works on the area being treated; the needling is more efficient and covers a broader area in less time. Microneedling can be used for stretch marks and to improve skin tightness on the entire body.

Reiki
Reiki is an ancient form of energy medicine that brings the life-force energy, known as Chi, Ki, or Prana, into connection with the body's innate healing powers. Rediscovered in the mid-1800s by Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanese monk educator, the origins of Reiki are found in the Tibetan Sutra, the ancient records of philosophy and cosmology. In Dr. Usui's words, "Reiki is the art of inviting happiness." It is a powerful adjunct to many conventional therapeutic modalities and helps to restore balance on the emotional, mental, and physical levels by enhancing and accelerating the healing processes of the mind and body.

Guided Imagery
Guided Imagery is similar to meditative states and is a form of deliberate, directed daydreaming. It is a specific and purposeful use of the imagination, making use of specific words in order to evoke a multi-sensory experience of both fantasy and memory. This rich, multi-layered awareness assists in creating a deeply receptive mind state. Each session is tailored to the client's specific needs and is deeply relaxing.
Feldenkrais Method
The Feldenkrais Method of Somatic Education utilizes gentle movement and directed attention to improve function and breathing, facilitate ease of movement, and decrease pain and tension. It can help you learn to increase your ease and range of motion, improve your flexibility and coordination, and rediscover the freedom and pleasure of movement most often associated with childhood.
This method was developed by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, D.Sc. (1904-1984) a pioneer in the field of neuroplasticity - the ability of the brain to adapt and change. His research into the relationships of the brain, nervous system, and movement led to his revolutionary approach to learning.
We offer one-on-one Functional Integration lessons, tailored to your individual needs. The practitioner uses gentle touch and verbal cues to help you learn ways to move more easily, guiding you through slow, mindful movement sequences designed to give the brain an opportunity to improve movement, promote relaxation, and enhance a sense of wellbeing.

Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy is one of the oldest methods of healing and is considered to be mankind’s first medicine. At Hudson Healing Arts, we use only Young Living Therapeutic Grade A Essential Oils. These oils have a profound effect on our energy, promoting a harmonizing of body, mind, and spirit. A selection of oils is recommended based on the client’s needs and goals.
The term 'medicine' as used here does not refer to what is considered Western allopathic medicine. No pharmaceutical medications or other drugs are used or prescribed. Rather, it is used in the context of indigenous healing traditions, with 'medicine' being anything that is used to facilitate health and wellbeing.
Assisted Somatic Release
Assisted Somatic Release is a specialized therapeutic technique that weaves together both physical and emotional benefits, making it a cornerstone of our holistic wellness offerings.
Physically, this technique focuses on releasing tension and restrictions within the fascia, the connective tissue surrounding all muscles and organs in the body. Through gentle and persistent pressure and targeted stretching, assisted somatic release encourages restrictions to soften and “melt” away, improving chronic pain, flexibility, range of motion, alignment, and results in a sense of ease existing inside of your body.
Somatic release also promotes emotional well being due to the interconnectedness of emotional and physical stress, and how they are stored on the body and in memories. As the therapist works on specific areas, some clients will experience a cathartic release of stored emotions, fostering relaxation and balance on both emotional and physical levels.
